Inner and outer rings: usually made of stainless steel materials, such as 304 stainless steel or 316 stainless steel, with good corrosion resistance and mechanical strength. The raceways of the inner and outer rings are grooved, providing precise rolling trajectories for the steel balls.
Steel ball: located in the raceway between the inner and outer rings, it is a key component for achieving rolling friction. The precision of the fit between the steel ball and the inner and outer raceway is high, which can ensure the rotational accuracy and stability of the bearing.
Retainer: Generally made of materials such as plastic, metal, or nylon, its function is to evenly separate the steel balls, prevent them from colliding and rubbing with each other, and guide them to roll correctly in the raceway, thereby improving the operational performance and service life of the bearing.
working principle
Relying on steel balls rolling between the inner and outer raceway to achieve relative rotational motion. When the inner or outer ring is subjected to radial or axial loads, the steel ball will roll in the raceway, transmitting the load to the entire bearing system. Due to the rolling friction coefficient being much smaller than the sliding friction coefficient, high-precision rotational motion can be achieved with lower friction torque.
