Bed: As the fundamental supporting component of the machine tool, it is typically fabricated from materials like high-strength cast iron or welded steel structures. This construction endows it with requisite high rigidity, exceptional vibration resistance, and outstanding thermal stability. During the machining process, it must withstand a multitude of external forces, such as cutting forces and frictional forces, to preclude any deformation of the machine tool and guarantee the attainment of precise processing accuracy. For instance, in certain high-precision CNC machine tools, the bed is crafted from mineral castings, whose excellent vibration absorption properties furnish a stable foundation for ultra-precise machining.

Column: Serving as the structural pillar to uphold components like the beam and headstock of the machine tool, it demands ample rigidity. It manifests in diverse structural configurations, including the upright type and the gantry type. Each of these architectures is tailored to accommodate the processing requisites of distinct workpiece types. The gantry column, for example, is prevalently employed in the machining of large and heavy workpieces, affording expansive working space and robust load-bearing capacity.

Table: Functioning as the platform that bears the workpiece and facilitates its movement within the X and Y planes, it can be categorized, based on processing accuracy stipulations, into ordinary precision tables and high-precision air float tables. Moreover, customization options are available to align with specific customer demands. The air float table, leveraging the principle of gas static pressure, enables the workpiece to hover, thereby diminishing friction and achieving extraordinary positioning accuracy and motion smoothness, which is especially prized in the realm of ultra-precision machining.

Spindle box: Internally housing the spindle along with its associated speed variation and transmission mechanisms, the spindle stands as the pivotal element responsible for driving the rotation of either the tool or the workpiece. Its rotational speed spectrum is extensive and can be astutely adjusted in accordance with the nature of the material being processed and the specific processing technique. Through advanced technologies such as frequency conversion speed regulation and electric spindle systems, seamless stepless speed changes can be effected, catering to the speed demands spanning from the initial rough machining phase to the final finishing touches.

Hardware part: Comprising integral elements like the central processor (CPU), memory, input and output interfaces, display, and operation panel. The CPU undertakes the crucial tasks of data processing and computational operations. The memory serves as the repository for system programs, machining programs, and the data generated during the processing sequence. The input and output interfaces act as the conduits for data interchange with external devices. The display offers a visual panorama of the machine tool's status, processing parameters, and other pertinent information. The operation panel empowers operators to input commands and fine-tune parameters with ease.

Software part: Principally bifurcated into system software and application software. The system software shoulders the responsibility of orchestrating fundamental functions within the NC system, including the management of hardware resources, task scheduling, and interpolation computations. The application software suite encompasses programming software, tool path simulation software, and fault diagnosis software, among others. These utilities assist operators in streamlining programming efforts, conducting processing simulations, and performing equipment maintenance, all of which culminate in enhanced processing efficiency and bolstered safety.

Servo motor: Segregated into feed servo motors and spindle servo motors. The feed servo motors govern the linear or rotational movements of components such the table and tools, while the spindle servo motors are tasked with driving the spindle's rotation. Characterized by high precision and rapid response capabilities, these servo motors can expeditiously and accurately execute the instructions disseminated by the numerical control system.

Driver: Paired with the servo motor, it undertakes the conversion of the weak current control signals emitted by the CNC system into the requisite strong current signals for the drive motor. Concurrently, it conducts comprehensive speed, position, and torque control over the motor to ensure its smooth and unerring operation.

Ball screw and guide rail: The ball screw plays a transformative role by translating the rotational motion of the servo motor into linear motion, thereby actuating the movement of the table or tool. It boasts high transmission efficiency and commendable accuracy, and further enhancements in axial stiffness and positioning accuracy can be achieved through pre-tightening measures. The guide rail, on the other hand, furnishes guidance and support to the moving parts. Among its variants, the rolling guide rail is lauded for its low friction and high precision attributes, which effectively mitigate the adverse impacts of friction on accuracy.
